OUTFIT OF THE DAY #123
How do our clothes look on a “non-model”?
Looks from my daily life here at Y.Chroma HQ in Lisbon in hopes they inspire you.
A summer office look with a Spectra Yellow twist
Aeroweave is such a spectacular fabric. Its roots are in those perforated fabrics we had for sports stuff back in the day. (We mill a very, very special version in Milan. It is sublime.)
You can see it at work in my outfit today. I’m in the Soybean Madeira Polo Aeroweave Edition and Java Brown Skyline Pant combo, with the Power Cable Sweater in Spectra Yellow on the shoulders.
The Soybean Madeira Polo Aeroweave has so much hidden goodness built into it that frames your upper body. The seams and structure are lined, which nobody does because it is an enormous pain to do. But the results speak for themselves, so that is how we roll. Sporty fabric, breathable, built for the warmer days — but the cut is clean enough that it works just as well at the office or at dinner.
The Skyline Pant underneath you already know. The waistband that takes us massively more effort to make than any other entire pant you find in a department store; The Italian satin weave with its remarkable, subtle sheen; The Cognac Silk lining at every key point; the architectural buttons and heavy zippers.
The Soybean Madeira Polo Aeroweave and the Java Brown Skyline Pant already work great together - warm, grounded, easy. But when it gets fresh, the Power Cable Sweater is the layer you want. Pima cotton keeps you comfortable whether it’s cool or warm. In Spectra Yellow, it adds just the right amount of color to make the whole combination come alive.
A simple, suede sneaker and some Bastion glasses in dark torgoise shell — and I’m ready for action!
Have fun out there, lads
