Lads, the Lagos Shirt is the most under-appreciated piece we ever made. I think guys just look at it and think it looks too serious for regular life - which is a shame.
Here's is an example of how great it can look with a late summer outfit. In this case, I’ve paired it with a Java Brown Becker Service Pant - the one with those great box pockets on the tush.
The shirt looks cool with sandals and my old sun hat. Perfect for bombing around Lisbon photo shooting this week. But it is also absolutely the real thing. The shirt will take you around the world and be ready for more. I think part of the fun is that, for all the coolness, the shirt absolutely reads as legitimate hard-core.
The Lagos was designed around a simple idea - life should take you places, and some of the best places are dirty and inhospitable. Yves Saint Laurent understood this. His years in Morocco, wearing a simple button shirt with that particular ease he had - structure without stiffness, utility that somehow always looked elegant. The Lagos captures that spirit. It also has our Y.Chroma Cognac leather chest patch - removable with an ingenious system we found in Japan. Today we went without it, keeping the whole look clean and earthy. Both patches are included with every shirt.
The Becker Service Pant underneath has that rugged character that matches it perfectly - structured fabric with real presence, and military box pockets in the back built to flatter.
